However, due to Conan Doyle's objection, they were translated into English as "Herlock Sholmes", and usually in French that's what he's called, too. Just a bit of trivia! As well as the review being different, my actual opinion may have been different too, if I hadn't seen some of the series, and I can't help but compare them - but I won't mention th TV programme anymore, just know my view is a little tarnished. ![]() I liked the book, but I think I prefer it as a television programme.
